How We Worship

How we worship at Mosaic Church. Worship focuses our attention on our King, Jesus. Lots of activities can fit under this definition, but on Sunday mornings we choose singing as our primary vehicle of worship. Why singing? Singing engages both the mind and body as the words remind us what we believe.

Physically the act of singing is like an alarm clock that tells our body who is in charge. As we sing, community is fostered, and our individuality is laid aside. Singing is also a way of giving back to the Lord, it vocalizes our prayers and emphasizes our spiritual and physical freedom.

Ultimately we sing because God deserves our praise. He deserves followers with fully engaged minds, wills, emotions and bodies.

Romans 12 urges us “in view of God’s mercy to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship.” How we choose to use our vocal chords can actually become our spiritual act of worship.
